The film investigates the topic, “How far would you go to live forever – or even just slow down the aging process?” according to the official synopsis. Chris Smith’s shocking documentary tells the story of Bryan Johnson, a man who has made it his mission to fight aging. “Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever” explores the contentious wellness techniques one man employs to stay young and energetic, as well as the impact this path has on both him and those around him.
Smith first came across the quirky tech mogul in an article that talked about how he dropped $2 million trying to “become 18 again.”
In order to better understand the people attempting to live longer, healthier lives, Smith stated, “that initial curiosity led to a 12-month journey following Bryan Johnson’s quest and its effect on those closest to him, while interviewing experts from around the world.” “A year later, I drink less, go to bed earlier, and wear a ring that tells me how bad my sleep is.”
Smith also serves as producer under the Library Films banner. Ashlee Vance and Daniel Koehler also produce.
