“I am a fan of myself” Portable
During a podcast session with ‘Adeshope,’ Nigerian artist Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, well known as Portable, taught people to cherish themselves.
He also stated that his most recent album has 20 tracks and no features since he prefers to spend his money on himself.
Portable, who rose to prominence after appearing on the song ‘ZaZoo Zehh’ with musician Olamide and Nigerian dancer Pocolee, also urged people to package themselves.
Portable explained that he chose not to include other artists in his recent album because he realized that people in the entertainment world rarely shared his stuff.
He went on to say that even if they shared his content, they would not tag him, which is why he always publishes it himself.
He also recommended folks to be the biggest fan of their material and not worry about whether or not others share it.
He said: “When they don’t value you value yourself, you package yourself, I package myself, I love myself, I’m proud of myself, I am a fan of myself. That’s why I drop album through Don Jazzy, I no feature anybody, I wan chop all the money by myself, no be say na them blow me, I blow myself. Them no dey post me I post myself, I kon discover say, them just dey use mouth, them no dey use @portable so when them post you them dey fake you, them fit post your good, them fit post your bad, so even bad days are part of good life, the way dem talk about me, good or bad I’m blowded.”
