Jose Mourinho Joins Fenerbahce for a Two-Year Contract.

Former Man Utd, Chelsea, and Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho set to take charge of Fenerbahce.

After being fired by Roma in January, Jose Mourinho is expected to sign a two-year contract with Fenerbahce, with an additional 12-month option; Fenerbahce will participate in Champions League qualifying after placing second in the Turkish Super Lig this season.

Although Mourinho has not yet arrived in Istanbul, the details of an agreement that will allow him to stay until the summer of 2027 are being finalized.

Fenerbahce finished second to city rivals Galatasaray despite recording 99 points and only losing once in the Super Lig this season, which led to the head coach Ismail Kartal’s dismissal.

Fenerbahce is expected to qualify for the Champions League through the second round next season, and Mourinho finds the move to be an exciting challenge.

Despite being among the most successful teams in Turkish football history, Istanbul hasn’t won the championship since 2014.

Mourinho has been unemployed since being dismissed by Roma in January after two and a half seasons as their manager.

The 61-year-old has secured 21 major trophies during his tenures with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Roma. Additionally, he led Tottenham to the Carabao Cup final before being sacked in 2021.

Mourinho is the only manager to have won the Champions League, the Europa League, and the Conference League.
