Man United defeated Wolves 2-0 moving closer to champions league position

Manchester United defeated Wolves by 2-0 to move closer to a champions league position.

Following a comfortable 2-0 home victory against Wolves, Manchester United moved four points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League with just three games left.

Erik ten Hag’s team is now in contention for a Champions League spot and only trails third-place Newcastle, who drew 2-2 at Leeds earlier on Saturday, on goal difference.

Though United’s performance won’t be remembered for very long, the home team came through in a game that needed to be won, creating enough chances to keep Wolves in second place the entire time and preventing their opponents from getting a shot on target.

Anthony Martial scored the game’s first goal in the 32nd minute after receiving an assist from Antony. Alejandro Garnacho, a substitute, later returned from injury to secure the victory.
