Portable asks for prayer, support among UK tour postponement, accusations of assault.
Amid a series of bad circumstances, including the suspension of his UK tour and claims of attacking government officials, Nigerian artist Portable has urged prayer and support from his followers.
The UK tour of Portable, born Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, which was scheduled to take place on February 7 and 8 in London and Glasgow, respectively, was postponed indefinitely. The announcement came on the heels of reports of a public feud with his music mentor Olamide.
Furthermore, Portable has been accused of assaulting government officials who were on duty around his Odogwu bar location in Ogun state. According to eyewitnesses, Portable allegedly harassed the officials and later attacked them with the help of some area boys.
Since then, the musician has gone into hiding; should he make a public appearance, it is anticipated he would be arrested. Portable has taken to social media to explain his side of the story, stating that he needs to stay behind to protect his family and property. He concluded his message by asking his fans and followers to pray for him during this trying period.
