Bernardo Silva renews his Manchester City contract
Manchester City have announced that Bernardo Silva has signed a contract extension.
The midfielder from Portugal has agreed to a one-year deal that would keep him at the Etihad Stadium till 2025.
Silva had been linked with transfers to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but his new contract assures he will stay in Manchester past the September 1st transfer deadline.
City are also nearing an agreement with Kyle Walker, who had been linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer.
Belgium winger Jérémy Doku is expected to become their third summer acquisition, following Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol, while insiders have told reporters that they are also keeping an eye on Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes, but they are yet to make an official offer.
On Wednesday, City defender Aymeric Laporte announced his departure from the club via social media. According to newsmen, City accepted an undisclosed bid from Saudi club Al Nassr for the Spain international last week.
