American romantic comedy The Perfect Find is a 2023 movie that was created by Leigh Davenport and was helmed by Numa Perrier. It is based on Tia Williams’ book of the same name. Gabrielle Union, Keith Powers, Aisha Hinds, D. B. Woodside, La La Anthony, and Gina Torres all appear in the movie.
On June 14, 2023, The Perfect Find made its global premiere at the Tribeca Festival. On June 23, 2023, Netflix distributed the film.
Plot
After forty-year-old Jenna Jones’ 10-year, high-profile romance with Brian, which defined her, ended, her mother eventually kicks her out after a year. She changes careers and enters the field of beauty journalism after returning to NYC.
Jenna is offered the position of Creative Director at Darzine on a three-month trial basis after having to ask her rival Darcy for a job there. She goes out that night with two of her closest friends and unintentionally kisses a man who is 15 years her junior. The same younger man, Eric, is introduced to a drunk Jenna at work the following day. The new videographer for the business is Darcy’s son.
On the content for the magazine’s subscription relaunch, Jenna and Eric will collaborate. They consent to keep their relationship private. A visit to the reclusive Greta Blumen on their first day of the rebranding mission is a colossal failure. They fight and don’t talk to one another the entire weekend.
They decide to stop fighting on Monday, and Jenna asks Eric to bring a few friends to a dinner she is having with her pals so she may meet Jimmy, 50. He constantly dates women, has a grudge against Eric, and is single all the time. After the others have left, Jenna and Eric spend some time together alone.
