Joey Akan slams Spyro for criticizing Shallipopi’s music

Spyro‘s comments on Shallipopi’s song, Elon Musk Boys, elicited a response from Nigerian entertainment journalist Joey Akan.

Spyro said in an interview with the Honest Bunch podcast that the song’s lyrics were a way for him to absorb deception, since the devil preferred suggestions.

In response to this statement, Joey Akan turned to Twitter and criticized Spyro for being a hypocrite who praised Jesus while dining at the altar of mammon.

Spyro’s biggest hit, he claims, was with a Wordly-adjacent artist, Tiwa Savage, rather than with another gospel performer like himself.

He went on to say that the singer had no trouble singing at wordly conventions or being signed to a wordly record label, but he was continuously critical of his peers’ professional performance.
