Pastor David Uche goes viral over old clip
Following his brush with the late SuperSport United goalie, George Chigova, who was just proven deceased, Nigerian Prophet David Uche has stirred an internet debate.
Chigova, the former Zimbabwe Warriors goalkeeper, died in his sleep on November 15, 2023, in his Johannesburg home.
Chigova has been out of action since falling during a SuperSport United training session in July.
According to sources, he awoke on Wednesday, moved around his residence briefly, and then went back to sleep.
When his wife tried to wake him up after a long nap, he remained unresponsive, and paramedics pronounced him dead.
Prophet David Uche rose to prominence as a result of his interactions with Chigova before to his death.
During a church service in Johannesburg, Uche allegedly told Chigova that there was nothing wrong with his heart, implying that his diagnosis was a ruse to keep him from signing a new football deal.
Chigova informed Uche that the discovery of a weak and irregular heart had delayed his contract renewal at SuperSport United.
Uche, on the other hand, disputed the medical diagnosis, attributing it to external circumstances aimed at limiting Chigova’s career advancement.
The meeting between the late SuperSport United goalkeeper and the Nigerian clergyman sparked widespread interest and debate, with many blaming the pastor for the goalkeeper’s death.
