Steve Harvey; Burna Boy didn’t steal from America, we stole from him.
Steve Harvey, the host of a popular American talk show, has absolved Grammy winner Burna Boy of any accusations of theft from the American music industry.
He highlighted that contrary to common belief, Burna Boy and other African singers were the ones to introduce African beats, rhythm, and soul to the West, notably America. Harvey stated this when appearing as a panelist on a television show, emphasizing the commonalities between Africans and Black Americans. “They talk about ‘Burna Boy stole this’, no, we stole from Burna Boy. The Africans is us. Africans are the beats, soul, rhythm, and hard work. We get our courage from them. When you see them people, they look just like your family.”
