Scott McTominay scored two stoppage-time goals to keep United from losing for the second game in a row at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag claimed that Brentford had “eaten” his team and challenged his players to be more “determined.”

United enters the international break on the heels of a win over Brentford, following defeats to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.

They return to action in two weeks when they go to Sheffield United, and Ten Hag has urged his team to use McTominay’s late goals as a catalyst to turn around a dismal start to the season.

Meanwhile, Brentford manager Thomas Frank called the defeat as “brutal” after his team came within minutes of winning at Old Trafford for the first time since 1937.
